Tehran Warns US and Regional Allies Against Renewing Attacks
Iran has warned the United States and its regional allies against resuming military operations, threatening sustained attacks on American interests and strategic infrastructure across the Gulf region.
The warning was issued by Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters amid indications that US President Donald Trump is considering his next move following the latest escalation between Washington and Tehran, The News Edition reports.
In a statement, the Iranian military command accused the United States of seeking to gain politically from the conflict and alleged that Washington was preparing for another round of airstrikes.
Iran claimed that some regional countries had given Washington permission to use their territory or facilities for further military operations, warning that those countries could also become targets.
The military command said US positions and interests in the region would face what it described as “sustained, effective and painful attacks” if hostilities resumed.
Iran also accused neighbouring countries of supporting what it described as prolonged aggression, warning that countries assisting the US should not expect restraint from Iranian forces.
Iran Reports Downing of US Drone
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said its aerospace force had tracked and destroyed another US MQ-1 military drone over the Strait of Hormuz.
The reported incident adds to tensions surrounding the strategically important waterway, which is a major route for global energy shipments.
Trump Weighs Next Move
US President Donald Trump, speaking to Fox News, said “very big things” could happen soon as he considers his options regarding Iran.
Trump said he was in a “deciding mode,” with possible options reportedly including continued military action, increased economic pressure or negotiations aimed at reaching a deal.
The US Virtual Embassy in Iran has also advised American citizens to leave the country as soon as possible, citing the possibility of flight cancellations and airspace closures.
The latest developments come amid broader regional tensions involving the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, adding to uncertainty over the direction of the conflict and the possibility of further military escalation.
