The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the Original Result Slips for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be available for printing from Wednesday.
The disclosure was made by JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in a statement issued in Abuja.
According to the board, the Original Result Slip is an important document required by candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions across the country.
Result Slip Contains Key Admission Details
Benjamin explained that the document includes several security features designed to enhance its credibility and acceptance for official purposes.
Among the details contained in the result slip are candidates’ photographs, national rankings, and other authentication features used for admission and screening processes.
He noted that the document serves as one of the key requirements for post-UTME screening exercises and admission consideration by universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions.
Candidates Advised to Print and Verify Details
JAMB advised candidates to print their Original Result Slips using any internet-enabled device or through accredited business centres nationwide.
The board also urged candidates to carefully review all information contained on the slip immediately after printing to ensure accuracy.
Candidates were further encouraged to keep copies of the document safe, as it may be required at different stages of the admission process.
Admission Process Moves Forward
The release of the Original Result Slips comes shortly after JAMB announced the release of the 2026 UTME mop-up examination results and the commencement of candidate ranking for admission purposes.
